WILL YOU BECOME A MIRACLE FOR SOMEONE?

Few days ago I finished reading a book that really blessed my heart and the author emphasizes the need for us to realize daily that “God has no hands to heal except through our hands. He has no voice to encourage except through our voice. He has no arms to hug except through our arms. God will bring people across our path so that we can be the answer to their prayer.” That is exactly how I feel this morning when a group of students bumped into my study room at Westerville Public Library.

What’s so funny was that, I did not had any room reservation at the library today, I just wanted to go in and do some writing on my new book that is coming out soon. On getting to the library around 9:10am, I asked if there is any room I can use and was told by the librarian that all the rooms are booked. Then she checked again and said, “There is a room that if the person did not show up by 9:15am, then we can put you in there.” I was excited but at the same time nervous as I sat there looking at the clock that the person will show up few seconds to the time. Guess what? No one came!

I was in the room for about an hour when these awesome students strolled in to the library and for some reason, some of them saw me from afar in my enclosed room. “Hey Professor King, can we come and share the room with you? We need to study and we need some quiet as a group”. It was such a joy to vacate the room for them even though the librarian said they can only allow seven people in that room, “but for today only, we will allow all of you”, the librarian added.

The morale of the story, what of if reserving that room in the morning was not even about me? What of if God had seen how challenging it will be for some of those students not to have those few hours together as a group? What of if my going to that library today was an answer to one of those students’ prayer?

Hear me friends, make it a daily prayer that God should make you a solution to someone’s challenge no matter how little and in spite of what you might be going through. You may not be able to help everyone, but you can always help someone!

God is able!

...the God who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly and above your widest imaginations!

You don’t believe that is possible? Ask Jacob in the Bible. Even though he was told that Joseph had been killed by forest beast, I believe there was still a deep seated desire in his heart to see this child alive (even though the Bible did not say that). You all know the story. Jacob would have been super satisfied to find out that his son was alive. But for Joseph to be alive, and be highly placed in a foreign land (which is like the most powerful nation at that time), that was “Jehovah overdo” in action! Not only did Jacob witnessed his son’s royalty and enjoyed the benefits of the same, he lived to see his grandchildren before he died. What a mighty God we serve!

HE IS THE "JEHOVAH OVERDO!"

In my new book coming out this month, I shared the story of how GOD IS NOT JUST ABLE TO GRANT YOUR HEART DESIRE, BUT WILL GRANT IT BEYOND YOUR WIDEST REQUEST. Let me share part of the story with you.

Several years ago during my second year in College, a preacher came to minister in my fellowship and his message was on worship and revival. While he was preaching, he sang a song, "I see the Lord, I see the Lord, He is high and lifted up and His trail fills the temple..." As he was singing, he lifted up his hands and his eyes to the heavens. During that worship, I saw passion; I saw pure worship and hunger for the King. Few months before then I gave my heart to Jesus to follow Him “livingly and lovingly” and here is a preacher worshiping Him like I would love to. Right then, there was this strange desire to meet this preacher and to know more about worship. I kept the notes of his message that day (and I still have them till today). But I could not locate him after that service until almost a year later that he was invited to come speak during our “Send Forth” event from the school.

Still I could not connect with him, but there was this sincere longing to know more about worship from him. Years went by from that day in 1995 and I never saw him again or hear about him. Guess what happened?
In 2004, I relocated to the United States by divine orchestration and few years later I saw the same man face to face invited to my church to minister. I said, “God, this can never be true. This is not the same preacher I saw at the Polytechnic Ibadan more than a decade ago”. Then I checked the name again and ask my wife a ridiculous question, “Don’t you think that name sounds familiar?” She said, “I think so”. Then I called my friend in Nigeria, “Do you know anything about the whereabouts of this preacher since he came to our fellowship?” He said, “I was told he now lives in South Africa”..

Out of curiosity, I wanted to meet him and introduce myself to him and confirm if he was really the same person that came to my school years back. Guess what? The Holy Spirit restrained me from taking that step at that particular time for reasons known to God alone. Eventually, God connected us mysteriously and still the Spirit of God will not let me mention the places and circumstances that had brought us together years ago.
Why am I sharing this story which I have never shared on social media before or in a book? I sense in my heart that someone reading this book is about to experience a supernatural answer to your request. God is about to reveal to you that He is “Jehovah overdo”! He is about to show you that if I answer your heart desire based on how small it is, then I will be "reduced" to your level. But I am the God who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly and above your widest imaginations!

Back to my own story.
For me to be able to meet that preacher again in the USA after that worship experience at my fellowship would have been enough that God answered my desire, even though I already forgot about it. But few years later without any manipulation whatsoever, God made it possible for me not to only meet, talk and listen to His servant, Bishop Anthony Osuobeni, but be connected with his family and ministry, and also become partner in kingdom assignment.

Let me end the story with that Scripture (Ephesians 3:20) again and I will share it in different translations for someone to really believe God for the manifestation of His power through the Holy Spirit working in your life.

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us” (KJV).

“Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us” (AMP).

“Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]–“ (AMPC).

“To him who by means of his power working in us is able to do so much more than we can ever ask for, or even think of” (GNB).
“Glory to God, who is able to do far beyond all that we could ask or imagine by his power at work within us” (CEB)

“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think” (NLT).

Don’t forget, no matter what you are going through, YOU ARE EXPECTED TO WIN.

On behalf of my Essence of Joy – Oludolapo-Precious and my graceful kids – Blessing, Faith and Isaac, I am saying you are blessed and highly graced.

Love you.

Excerpt from my newest book, How to Be Led By The Holy Spirit

Divine Direction is Inevitable!

...At the core of every successful invention is divine direction. Be it having a successful career as an individual,  cultivating a healthy family as parents, or running a thriving business as an organization, or leading an influential  nation as a president, the necessity for divine leading is inevitable.

In every generation there is dire need for effective leadership. A good leader is largely identified by his or her ability to receive and follow divine instruction. Leadership is everything! Everyone is born with the propensity for leadership, and the number one person you must lead is yourself. One of the final workshops Jesus gave to His disciples was on leadership. He warned them that it is possible for the blind to lead the blind (Read Matthew 15:14). In every stage of life, you and I will guidance of some sort, especially the guidance from the Higher Being...

PRAISE FOR
Commanding Supernatural Results Straight from the Holy Bible!

Puts the "A" in Africa!
Whereas "Chicken Soup for the Soul" ministered on a soul level only, Samson takes his true life accounts similar to the Book of Acts and creates purity so deep, I nearly wanted to rename it "Meat Soup for the Spirit!" I could not put it down once I started. Something I highly recommend as the fruits of Africa.

JUST ONE ENCOUNTER WITH DESTINY CAN RESET YOUR LIFE FOR GOOD: TELLING GOD-STORIES

"So He will do to me whatever He has planned.
He CONTROLS MY DESTINY" (Job 23:14 - NLT).

"You guide me with Your counsel,
leading me to a GLORIOUS DESTINY" (Psalm 73:24- NLT).

The two Scriptures above were revealed to me two years before this encounter that you are about to read. I was working at one of leading training organizations in Nigeria. I never knew on that day when the CEO of the company sent the crew out for training that God was using him to set me on a path that will forever change my life. I had an encounter with God by coming in contact with this woman of God. If you have read or hear my testimonies and stories before, you will discover that I celebrate God's MAGIC MOMENTS every time. I want to use this story again to encourage and challenge all women (mothers) in Ohio to attend this event on Saturday.

The letter below summarizes my story. I sent this to Pastor Funke Adejumo almost 20 years ago. Guess what? God's stories does not age with time. It will inspire you to have an expectation on God and not on any other man or thing. He is a DESTINY - CHANGER!

June 7, 2007.
To: Our Dear Mummy and Daddy Adejumo,
Even if we are not sure of anything about you, we are pretty sure that His abiding presence is ever with you. To say it's decades ago is no exaggeration! The last time we set our eyes on Mummy Adejumo was when she came to minister at U.I. in 2003.

How time flies. This is just to refresh your mind about the faithfulness of God to the words you and Bishop spoke into my life at Premier Hotel (Ibadan) the day I was privileged to meet with these two "love-birds" (Mama & Papa Adejumo).

I feel like sharing the experience with you again. I was at Premier Hotel (Ibadan) for a conference organized by the company I worked with. I was sitting at the registration desk when I saw Mummy Adejumo arriving.  I quickly left my seat, walked up to her and ask, "Are you Mrs.  Adejumo?” She answered with a smile, "Hun-un, may be her friend," and then she continued, "Yes I am by the grace of God." I told her how I listened to a message she preached at Christ Life Church many years ago, and my life was permanently influenced and have been looking for an opportunity to meet her. After a while I asked, "Where is Daddy?", "He is right there at the booking desk, Sweetheart, someone want to meet you" she beckoned.

I then volunteered to assist in moving their luggage into the hotel room. While I was going, I was thinking I need to book an appointment with this couple in Akure, so that I would travel down and share my dream with them. Suddenly I remembered Pastor Kumuyi's testimony. He told a story of a woman who had believed God for the fruit of the womb for years. She read about wonderful testimonies happening in Kumuyi's ministry and she had been praying to meet him someday. On this fateful day, the woman met with him at the Airport while he was going to join another plane.  "Are you Dr. Kumuyi?” she asked. "Oh yes, by the grace of God." He answered. Then she continued, "I have been looking for an opportunity to meet you, the doctor said I can never have a child. It's been difficult to get in touch with you, but now that I have seen you, I want you to give me an appointment so that when I come to Lagos, I would be allowed to see you. Then I would be able to share all the problems with you, and then you will REALLY pray for me." When she finished, Pastor Kumuyi looked at her and smiled saying, "Why are you looking for an appointment when there is an appointment here already?" The woman said, "You mean God can answer a prayer just like that here on the tarmac?" He prayed with her right away and to the glory of God, the woman traveled down to Nigeria the following year with her miracle child!

I just remembered that statement, "Why are you looking for an appointment when there is an appointment already?” Right there in the hotel room, I asked mummy that I had wanted to meet her because I have a vision of distributing anointed messages from God's generals to students on Campus, and she is one of the generals that I would like to distribute their materials. I asked for her permission to do so. With all humility, she answered, "That is a great vision and my heart agrees with you”. Then she continued, “but unfortunately, we don't have any of our messages left here with us, they are all sold out in London. But feel free to come around anytime for whatever you need."
My goodness, I was so excited. Then I rushed down to grab my catalogue of audio tapes and showed it to her. In amazement, she asked, "You mean you have all these messages?" I said, "By the grace of God." Can you record some for me today?" she asked, I said I would try.
Against all odds, after closing from work that evening, I went out to do the recording. I could not finish until around past 10pm and I rushed to the hotel (since they had to leave the hotel very early the next day). I got there, and she was so dazed. She said, “Bro. Kuye, you mean you could get the work done today?" and she said something I would never forget in my life, “You see that’s how people ENCOUNTER DESTINY!” She turned to her loving husband and said, “Let’s pray for this brother Sweetheart”.
As I knelt before them by the swimming pool, Bishop Adejumo looked straight into my eyes and asked, “What are your heart desires…?” Waoh! This is a million-dollar question. I gathered my thoughts together and while I was still thinking, Mummy Adejumo asked another thrilling question, “Are you engaged?” I quickly answered, No! Then I told my desires by uttering these words, “I want God to grant me speed and establish my relationship and ministry.” The duo prayed and prophesied upon my life that night. When I stood up, I knew there was an unusual deposit from heaven upon my life that day. Mummy Adejumo gave me her current book titled, “Marriage is For Destiny” (This encounter occurred on the 9th of March, 2001 @ Premier Hotel, Rm., 112).
The resultant effects of that encounter are as follows:
·        Before the end of that same year, I met my Lump of Delight (fiancĂ©e) (Dec. 2001)
·        The beginning of the following year, I gained admission into the University of Ibadan for my Post graduate program and I became the Leader of the PG Fellowship of Ibadan Varsity Christian Union (2002).
·        The following year (2003), after two solid years of “sugar moon” (courtship) experience with my heartthrob, we entered a lifetime honeymoon.
·        The following year (2004), by divine orchestration, we relocated to the United States with all dignity and had our first daughter – Blessing. That same year, God connected us to one of His generals, Pastors Sam and Funmi Adeyemi whose relationship has been of immense blessings.

For time and space, I would not be able to enumerate all the things that have happened in our lives since that single encounter. It opened a volcanic eruption of blessing upon our lives that we can never recover from. Mummy and Daddy Adejumo, I cannot but put together this testimony to encourage some people in your church of the need to value and appreciate any encounter with the vessels of life.
In closing, we want to once again appreciate the grace of God upon your lives and ministry and it’s our deepest prayer that the glory of God upon you will not be turned to trash. You shall see the fulfillment of the promises of God for your life, children, grand-children, great – grand-children and ministry in the precious name of Jesus.
On behalf of my best support system – Oludolapo Precious and my angels – Blessing Ayomide and Faith Ayomidotun, I am saying we love you.
In His ever-abiding love,
Sam Kuye

I sent that letter in 2007 and was privileged to be at the Ohio MOthers Summit last year even though I'm a brother. I simply said to myself, "Sam, today you are a 'brotherly-sister' and you must be at the event". Men are also invited to this year and I believe God will HAPPEN for everyone on Saturday.

I shared more about this testimony in my book coming out in April 2017 titled, "How to Be Led by the Holy Spirit".  It will be a blessing to you. Also, you can get a copy of my new book on this link: Commanding Supernatural Results

MAKE ME A SOLUTION TO THE PREVAILING PROBLEMS IN MY GENERATION!

God is a God of generations and cultures and in every generation, His faithfulness has never failed. I woke me up early this morning and I sense in my heart that God is giving me a prayer point that I feel like sharing with you. Every generation is unique by the reason of the prevailing circumstances, challenges, problems and social issues of the time. For instance, from the time that humanity was placed on earth, people have been walking on their feet (possibly one of the available forms of transportation aside from riding donkeys) to go from one place to the other. Many years later, there were some inventions like chariots from Ancient Egypt and life was cool. Not being able to drive a car, ride a bike or fly in the air was not an issue.

When Jesus walked the earth, he never prayed once for a car, an iPad, or an aircraft because according to the timing of the Master Designer, those are not prevailing necessities in that generation. But Jesus needed strength to be able to walk around, so He prayed for strength. He saw hunger and He prayed to be able to feed the hungry. He saw injustice in the legal system of His time (as narrated in the case of the woman caught in the act of adultery and was to be stoned but the man involved was exonerated), and He prayed for wisdom to handle the situation. He saw sickness (blindness, impotency, leprosy etc.) and He prayed for the power to heal them. Slavery has always been around but it was not a major or prevailing problem in those generations, racism was there but it was not a prevailing issue of the time. The prevailing issues in every generation have always been taken care of by the Master Designer.

Why am I saying all these? God is looking for people that will ask Him to reveal the solutions to the PREVAILING PROBLEMS in their generation. Even though walking on feet was not an issue for thousands of years, when it became a problem that men could not travel long distance or fly in the air, the knowledge to make engines and aircrafts were made available by the Master Designer. Even though slavery has been around for ages, when it became a prevailing problem, people like William Wilberforce, Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King etc. were instrumental to providing solution to that problem. Many in the field of medicine, science, religion etc. all over the world were limited in their efforts to make life better because of the meager resources or access to relevant information. Few years ago, boom! The computer and Internet were made available by the Master Designer.

Now during the time of Jesus, cancer was not an issue, AIDS was not an issue, terrorism was not an issue, gun control was not an issue, redefinition of marriage was not an issue (you can add to that list). All these issues have always been around in one form or another but they were not PREVAILING ISSUES like in our generation. Guess what, the Master Designer has never failed any generation but the question is, “Would you join me in asking Him to make us SOLUTIONS to the PREVAILING ISSUES” in our generation? Instead of believing God for miracle to heal few cancer patients, the perpetual solution can be made available to us and just like you don’t need to pray for you to be able to fly from your room to work daily, cancer can be handled like we handle fever and cold.

You and I are majorly responsible for our generation not the generation of our founding fathers or the generation that Jesus lived in. Internet, IPad, mobile phone, printing machine, aircraft, electricity, prosthetics, cars, epidural etc. have always been in existence in the mind of the Master Designer but were not needed in Jesus’, Moses and all other great people that lived thousands of years back. As you live your life daily, please don’t just think about how to solve the problems in your little family but make it a desire in your heart to be used as part of solution to the problem of humanity, because the Master Designer will never be caught unfaithful to any generation. The wisdom to stop cancer, to govern our home and society effectively, to minimize divorce rates in the world, to subdue terrorism and to make the world a better place in our generation is available.

I read a statement early this morning that says, “We take hold of the grace that changes us”. The grace of God changes us and changes situations. Will you say that to yourself? “I take hold of the grace that changes situations!”

Don’t forget, no matter what you are going through, YOU ARE EXPECTED TO WIN.

On behalf of my Essence of Joy – Oludolapo-Precious and my graceful kids – Blessing, Faith and Isaac, I am saying you are blessed and highly graced. Love you.

In His ever Increasing Love,

Telling God-Stories

Excerpt from my new book, Commanding Supernatural Results.

“The stories people tell have a way of taking care of them. If stories come to you, care for them. And learn to give them away where they are needed. Sometimes a person needs a story more than food to stay alive” (Jean Shinoda Bolen).

The ideas behind Telling God-Stories arose out of great necessity and divine passion. As a young man, I had such an unusual passion for art - listening to music, writing, and singing. I remember many times during my middle and high school years, when my friends gathered around and implore me to sing Fuji, which was my favorite style of music. We would always have a good time. Today, I still love to worship God through Fuji music.

Apart from singing, I also love to write and document stories. When I was young, we did not have access to personal computers or the internet, I would keep copies of most of my handwritten letters to people. To this day, I still have some of them.

I knew nothing about reading the Bible aside from the little stories we heard when I was a kid. However, I did not know that many of the stories in the Bible are testimonies of God's thoughts expressed in creation.

The purpose of this book is threefold: First, I want to tell some personal testimonies that are very precious to my heart. Though they may seem simple to some, because they are God stories that became my own, I love to share them.

David, the Sweet Psalmist of Israel composed more than 50% of the Psalms we enjoy today. He declares in Psalm 26:6-7,

I scrub my hands with purest soap, then join hands with the others in the great circle, dancing around Your altar, God, Singing God-songs at the top of my lungs, TELLING GOD-STORIES (MSG, Emphasis added).
David called his testimonies and achievements “God-Stories.” By documenting them, generations upon generations have been able to find comfort, healing, and deliverance from those stories.

The power of your testimony can eradicate shame and reproach from your life and from the lives of others. No wonder David clings tenaciously to testimonies and stories of God’s mighty works. The purpose of this book is in obedience to a divine commandment and instruction. Many years ago, the Holy Spirit whispered to my heart to start documenting stories and personal testimonies...

Back in high school, I had a friend that taught me how to write “toast letters” to girls. I would stay awake for hours writing just one letter... learning to write these notes did prove to be of some benefit. When I met my “priceless jewel” and she agreed to marry me, I told her that she should get ready to read a lot of notes and to be prepared to write back as well. Now I have the chance to put to use all I learned in those toast letter lectures for the rest of my life!

When we first started dating, she was working in Lagos, while I was completing my graduate studies at the University of Ibadan. Whenever she came back for a weekend or a vacation, I visited her house and dropped off some notes. Initially, it was difficult for her to write replies to my “stories,” because she was not used to writing so much. However, with time, she began writing pages of her own stories to me as well.
Today, I still have every letter we exchanged. They will be a blessing to many through my soon coming book, which will be titled: Epistles to my “Pot of Hot Soup”.

I share all of that to show you that, in one way or another, God has been preparing me to write stories that will become a legacy for many generations.
